Job Title: Medical Officer - Prenatal and Reproductive Genetics

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Officer to join our Prenatal and Reproductive Genetics Team at the South East Genomic Laboratory Hub. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of cytogenetic and molecular genetic techniques to generate high-quality data.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform cytogenetic and molecular genetic techniques to generate high-quality data.
  • Monitor stock levels and inform staff of the need to order reagents and consumables.
  • Undertake routine analysis and write diagnostic reports using pre-defined templates.
  • Prepare and process samples for clinical trials and research projects.
  • Ensure quality control measures are carried out and report any failures to senior staff.
Requirements:
  • BSc (Hons) in a relevant scientific discipline or equivalent.
  • Experience of writing diagnostic reports and SOP writing.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
