Job Title: Electrician for Renewable Energy

We are looking for an experienced Electrician for Renewable Energy to join our team at Grupotec.

Estimated Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum

About the Job:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks on a photovoltaic solar plant, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and inspecting photovoltaic modules, structure, trackers, and DC combiner boxes.
  2. Diagnose and repair faults in the low voltage part, photovoltaic modules, trackers, and cabling.
  3. Regularly inspect structure support of panels, fence of the plot, maintenance of buildings, CCTV system, communications equipment, etc.
  4. Oversee the maintenance and review of electrical components and equipment, such as inverters, distribution boards, communications boxes, DC and AC protection boxes, according to manuals and maintenance plans.
  5. Complete work orders, attendance records, and digital files according to established procedures.
  6. Support subcontractors with medium and high voltage equipment and monitor their activities.

Requirements:

  1. Training in Health and Safety in the UK; SMSTS, CMMS Card, or similar.
  2. Advanced technical knowledge in electricity and its application to photovoltaic installations.
  3. Familiarity with manual tools and machine tools for electrical and metal structure work.

Competency Profile:

  1. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. 1 year of experience in maintaining electrical installations, preferably in the solar photovoltaic sector.
  4. English language proficiency at B2 level or higher; Spanish will be valued.
