Strategic Trader

Estimated Salary: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum.

Amber Energy Solutions Limited is seeking an experienced Energy Trading Specialist to join our Trading and Risk Management function. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, developing individual trading strategies, and executing trades while ensuring accurate reporting to clients and supplier reconciliations.

You will work closely with Sales and Account Management teams to secure new business opportunities and present proposals that promote the benefits of flexible energy procurement and our innovative risk management approach. Additionally, you will develop long-term trading strategies for clients incorporating low-carbon generation and power purchase agreements (PPAs).

The ideal candidate will have experience working in an analytical and technical role within the energy industry, including a comprehensive understanding of gas and electricity markets. A degree-level education in a relevant subject such as economics, finance, maths, statistics, or risk management is required. Professional or higher qualifications in a financial or risk management field would be advantageous.
