About the Job

As a Care Support Worker in our Mental Health team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to patients. You will work closely with our nursing staff to deliver individualized care plans, promoting independence, dignity, and well-being.

Responsibilities:


  • Monitor patients' conditions, taking temperatures, pulse, respirations, and weight
  • Assist in the delivery of patient care as directed by the Registered Nurse
  • Ensure patient-centered care, prioritizing their needs and preferences
  • Support patients with daily activities, respecting their autonomy and dignity
  • Contribute to a safe and respectful environment, adhering to NHS standards and guidelines

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:


  • A minimum of 6 months paid experience in a Mental Health hospital environment
  • Compliance with NMC Professional Registration and up-to-date knowledge of current nursing practices
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, promoting collaboration and communication
  • Excellent analytical skills, with sound decision-making in changing clinical situations
