As Temporary Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities, ensuring successful completion within the set timeframe, and working closely with the Project Manager and Site Supervisor to coordinate all project disciplines and deliver a high-quality job on programme.
Main Responsibilities:- Strategic Site Leadership: Provide a strategic link between the design department, commercial team, and site.
- Health and Safety: Deliver toolbox talks and RAMS to ensure a safe working environment.
- Record Keeping: Produce accurate, consistent, and professional records, reports, and general information.
- Client Interface: Act as the main interface with clients and government officials.
- Process Adherence: Ensure all processes are adhered to on a project-by-project basis.
- Site Surveying: Survey sites to mitigate problems and check viability of design.
- Quality Control: Ensure the product meets customer expectations in relation to build and finish.
- Workforce Management: Manage and coordinate sub-contract and direct labour workforces.
- Labour Costing: Provide labour costing for various projects to determine feasibility and profitability.
- Customer Relationships: Manage customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and coach staff as and when development is required.
- Progress Reporting: Produce reports on job progress and remedials.
- Project Experience: Previous experience of running £20M+ projects working for a main contractor.
- Qualifications: SMSTS and CSCS qualifications.
- Commercial Awareness: Commercially aware with extensive knowledge of all disciplines involved in the construction process.
- Career Path: A planned and proven career path in a Construction Management.
- Project Management: Proven ability of working on several projects simultaneously.
- Health and Safety Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety and other regulatory matters.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
- IT Literacy: IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
- Temporary Role: Temporary role with a competitive hourly rate.
- High-Profile Project: Opportunity to work on a high-profile project.
