As a Mechanical Engineering Degree Apprentice at Leonardo, you will be part of a dynamic team working on cutting-edge projects in the defence domain.
The program combines academic studies with hands-on experience, allowing you to develop a deep understanding of the engineering lifecycle, from requirements analysis to in-service support.
Key responsibilities:
- Acquire skills to work effectively in a professional engineering environment.
- Maintain required results in the Mechanical Engineering degree course to ensure a pass mark.
- Support members of the Mechanical Engineering Team in delivering technical solutions that meet customer needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create and present design data, utilizing industry-leading tool sets.
- Deliver detailed designs, including numerical calculations, tolerance studies, and manufacturing data packs.
- Generate piece parts, assemblies, and mechanisms within defined constraints.
- Work to meet cost, schedule, and quality demands.
Requirements:
- A-Level(s) A-C in STEM-related subjects, Level 3 National Extended Certificate, or similar.
- Self-motivated individual with a passion for overcoming technical challenges.
- Strong communication skills across various mediums.
- Ability to develop effective working relationships with peers and stakeholders.
- Adaptable to changing demands within the role.
- Will to offer novel ideas and methods for solving technical problems.
