Job Summary:

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Visual Effects Compositor to join our team at Industrial Light & Magic. As a Compositor, you will be responsible for combining live action and computer-generated elements into visually stunning effects shots that meet the creative vision of our clients and supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate creative and technical approaches for assigned shots in collaboration with the Compositing Supervisor and Visual Effects Supervisor.
  • Perform tasks associated with the compositing process, including 2D tracking, matte extraction, layering of elements, and color grading on moderately difficult to difficult shots.
  • Maintain the overall look, color balance, and quality for assigned shots and sequences to ensure uniformity in all finished work.
  • Collaborate with Artists from other disciplines to achieve a cohesive final product.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Computer Graphics or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Nuke and ability to write scripts and/or plugins.
  • Strong knowledge of Nuke and its applications.
  • Strong aesthetic skills in judging photo-realism and color.
  • Strong sense of composition, color, and design.
  • Familiarity with using Unix systems.

Work Environment:

This is a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of 2 days on-site per week at a Company-designated location, with occasional remote work.
