Candela Academy is a leading education company that offers personalized support for secondary school students and parents in the UK. Our services include Academic Mentorship and Online Tutoring for (I)GCSEs, A-Levels, and Extended Project Qualifications.

We are seeking a highly organized, dedicated, and customer-oriented Student Coordinator to play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of Candela Academy. As a Student Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the academic journey of your designated students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the student's academic journey by coordinating the team of tutors and mentors while managing administrative and operational procedures.
  • Act as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, working as a link between them.
  • Keep up-to-date on student progress and report back to the team regularly with potential value-add solutions to support the student.
  • Proactively manage and foresee issues by resolving complaints or escalations in a timely manner.
  • Regularly research and stay up-to-date on the UK education sector, providing the wider Candela team with updates on relevant information.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) from a UK or US university.
  • Fluency in English, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Customer-oriented thinking.
  • Strong research abilities.
  • Highly technologically proficient.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure.
  • Proficiency in mainstream office software, including Google Workplace and Microsoft Office.

Bonus:

  • Prior experience in a customer service, project management, or other transferable role.
  • Knowledge of the UK education system and academic cycles.
  • Prior experience in the education industry.
  • Strong academic background and profile.
  • Fluency in Mandarin.
