Reception Teacher Role

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join our team at a one-form entry school in Newbury West Berkshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet the requirements of the EYFS curriculum, fostering a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment, and providing individualised support to students based on their unique needs and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative and stimulating lessons that meet the requirements of the EYFS curriculum
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students social and emotional development
  • Provide individualised support to students based on their unique needs and abilities
  • Collaborate with other educators and professionals to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
  • Assess and monitor students progress providing regular feedback to students parents and colleagues
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate records of students achievements and behaviour
  • Communicate effectively with students parents and colleagues ensuring a strong partnership between home and school

Requirements:

  • QTS EYTS PGCE and strong academic record
  • Bachelors degree in Education with a focus on Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or equivalent
  • Indepth knowledge and understanding of the Reception curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment for young children
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with students parents and colleagues
  • Strong organisational and timemanagement skills with the ability to effectively plan and deliver lessons
  • A passion for education and a commitment to supporting students learning and development
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the school and students
