We are seeking a highly skilled Façade Designer to join our team at Galliford Try within our Oak Business. As a Façade Designer, you will be responsible for managing the façade design process, utilizing your commercial, contractual, and technical expertise to deliver high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the façade design process, ensuring compliance with commercial, contractual, and technical requirements.
- Develop and maintain expertise in façade design systems, including cavity barriers, glazing, curtain walling, and composite cladding.
- Produce detailed construction drawings, procurement schedules, and fabrication drawings.
- Develop and maintain Revit models, ensuring accuracy and consistency across projects.
- Collaborate with engineers to request and review technical submittals.
- Ensure contract information is followed, and scope, specification, and intent drawings are accurate.
- Track and monitor design variations, raising changes with the commercial department.
- Ensure all drawings are approved by clients and meet ERs, CPs, and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with relevant parties to resolve project-related issues affecting documentation delivery.
- Review and evaluate design deliverables to ensure buildability and compliance, liaising with clients' design teams and specialist suppliers.
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Civil, Structural Engineering, or Building Design (Architectural).
- Proven experience in façade design, with knowledge of steel, aluminium, and glass.
- Knowledge of CWCT, Building Regulations, BSR, and other relevant standards.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work safely and independently, with strong leadership skills.
