Accounting Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Accounts Administrator to join our team at Arlington Resource Management Ltd. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate ledgers, processing invoices and payments, and reconciling bank statements. If you have a strong background in Double Entry bookkeeping and Sage Line 50, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate sales, purchase and general ledgers.
- Process purchase/expense invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Resolve supplier queries and prepare supplier payment runs.
- Raise accounts receivable invoices/credit notes; follow up outstanding balances (credit control).
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Assist in preparation of banking reporting requirements.
- Assist in intercompany and other balance sheet reconciliations.
- Analyse, reconcile and post credit card statements.
- Assist with service charge postings and reconciliations.
- Assist with preparation & submission of HMRC returns including VAT, CIS.
- Assist with preparation & submission of payroll.
- Month end support, assist with TB / preparation of management accounts / year end.
- Assist with preparation of accounting schedules.
- Perform ad-hoc finance-bookkeeper-related tasks as needed and assist with office admin.
Requirements:
- Familiarity with Double Entry bookkeeping and Sage Line 50 is essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
- The ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure is necessary.
