Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at Sodexo. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the food and beverage production, ensuring high-quality service, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Lead the culinary operation, provide support to the production team, and direct the preparation and duties of the sous chef, commis chefs, chef de parties, and other kitchen staff.
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Function menu planning, follow a set military dining menu, and maximize the use of existing stocks where necessary.
  • Inventory Management: Manage stock, oversee meal presentation, and liaise with the client for requests.
  • Team Development: Ensure your team is fully trained, refreshed regularly, and meets the client/Sodexo's standards.
  • Quality Control: Monitor sanitation practices, ensure strict adherence to all EHO guidelines and systems, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: NVQ level 2/3 or experience working in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Technical Skills: IT skills, great technical communication, and Microsoft packages experience.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Vast knowledge of food production methods, extensive knowledge of allergens, and impeccable leadership skills.
  • Personal Qualities: Thorough and detail-oriented, able to monitor your own performance and that of your colleagues, and able to accept criticism and work well under pressure.
