About the Role:
Hampshire County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Children in Care Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to children in care and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct holistic social work assessments to identify risk and need, and develop and review plans to address and mitigate concerns in a timely manner.
- Work with multi-agency networks to develop support packages for children with complex needs.
- Liaise with health and education professionals to ensure comprehensive support for children.
- Provide peer support, reflective supervision, and mentoring opportunities to team members.
Requirements:
- Social Work qualification and prior experience of working with children in care.
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children's Act 1989, the Children's Act 2002, the Care Act 2014, and the Children and Families Act 2014.
- Experience of working with children in care and those where care proceedings have been initiated.
- Ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Understanding of multi-agency systems and processes.
