Job Summary:

Hampshire County Council is seeking a skilled and dedicated Fostering Social Worker to join our team. As a Supervising Social Worker, you will work closely with fostering families to provide support and supervision to foster carers, ensuring they meet the requirements of the Fostering Regulations 2011 and the National Minimum Standards in Fostering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality supervision to foster carers, ensuring they meet the requirements of the Fostering Regulations 2011 and the National Minimum Standards in Fostering.
  • Work closely with fostering families to provide support and guidance, promoting the best outcomes for children and young people.
  • Conduct household reviews and produce high-quality, analytical, and reflective supervision records.
  • Respond to calls and visits to foster carers, providing support and guidance as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with children and families, preferably in a fostering or child protection context.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with foster carers and other professionals.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evening and weekend work, and to travel to different locations as required.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality services to children and families, with a focus on promoting the best outcomes.
