About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional PSHE Teacher to join our team at Brewood School, a co-educational, independent specialist day school in Kent. The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality education to children with special educational needs, including speech, language and communication difficulties, autism, ADHD, Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and effective PSHE lessons to students with diverse needs
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to different learning styles
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
  • Contribute to the development of the school's PSHE curriculum
  • Support students with challenging behavior and develop strategies to promote positive behavior
Requirements
  • QTS Qualification
  • Experience of teaching PSHE at secondary level
  • Proven teaching and learning experience in a relevant context
  • Strong understanding of child safeguarding
  • Ability to plan and execute interesting and engaging lessons for a range of students
