About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our team at Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality endoscopy care in our accredited JAG Endoscopy unit, undertaking outpatient clinics, and inpatient care on our dedicated Gastroenterology Ward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of high-quality endoscopy care in an accredited JAG Endoscopy unit
  • Undertake outpatient clinics and inpatient care on our dedicated Gastroenterology Ward
  • Work collaboratively with a committed team of 10 Substantive Gastroenterologists on the Wirral Peninsula
  • Contribute to the development of subspecialist clinical or endoscopy interests
  • Participate in the GI bleed rota

Our Gastroenterology Unit is sub-specialised into hepato-pancreatobiliary (HPB) and luminal services. We are a committed team of healthcare professionals dedicated to providing high-quality patient care. We are looking for a like-minded individual to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering excellent patient outcomes.
