Job Description

Job Title: Labour and Payroll Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Labour and Payroll Officer to join our team at Global Edge Consultants, LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with relevant labour laws, and maintaining accurate employee records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with end-to-end payroll processing, including preparing and processing payroll for employees on a timely basis.
  • Verify timesheets, attendance records, and other related data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure payroll procedures comply with relevant local, state, and federal labour laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Handle wage garnishments, deductions, and ensure proper record-keeping for tax and audit purposes.
  • Oversee employee benefits, including insurance, retirement plans, and other perks, ensuring correct deductions and allocations.
  • Maintain employee records, including personal details, job information, and attendance.
  • Assist in the onboarding process by setting up new employees in the payroll system.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports for management and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in payroll administration or a similar role.
  • Knowledge of UK payroll systems and HMRC regulations.
  • Strong understanding of employment and labour laws.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills and a high level of accuracy in payroll calculations.
