Payroll Officer Job Description

Kenneth Brian Associates Limited is seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join their team in Hampton. As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for processing payroll from start to finish, ensuring accurate and timely payment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll manually on a bi-weekly/monthly basis, including calculating hours worked, taxes, deductions, and adjustments.
  • Ensure payroll is delivered on time and without errors.
  • Address and resolve any payroll discrepancies or queries.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records.
  • Assist in onboarding and offboarding, including gathering and processing required documentation.
  • Provide support for employee HR queries related to payroll, time off, and benefits.
  • Assist with the administration of employee benefits, including enrolments, changes, and terminations.
  • Ensure proper reflection of benefit deductions in payroll.
  • Ensure compliance with UK payroll laws and regulations.
  • Support internal and external payroll audits with accurate documentation.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in manual payroll processing.
  • Knowledge of UK payroll regulations.
  • Expertise in manual payroll procedures.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Familiarity with HR processes and documentation.
