LEAD DATA SCIENTIST - Personalisation/Recommender

HYBRID (LEICESTER)

£60,000 - £75,000

About the Company:

We are a leading retail company seeking a Lead Data Scientist to progress our work in Machine Learning (Personalisation and Recommenders).

The ideal candidate will have experience in personalisation, segmentation with a focus on CRM, and retail experience is a bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement personalisation strategies on end-to-end machine learning projects
  • Collaborate with a high-calibre team and stakeholders to drive business outcomes
  • Manage one other Data Scientist and contribute to the growth of the team
  • Build predictive, segmentation, and personalisation-based models with a focus on retail-driven customer analytics

Requirements:

  • Minimum of MSc in a STEM subject e.g. Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science
  • Experience with PySpark/Azure/Databricks is a bonus
  • Proven experience of management
