About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Physiotherapist to join our team at The Disabilities Trust. As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will play a key role in providing specialist physiotherapy input to individuals with acquired brain injury, working across our Neurobehavioural, Neurorestorative, and Well-being pathways.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as a specialist within the multi-disciplinary team, providing physiotherapy input to individuals with acquired brain injury, using the BIRT neurobehavioral model.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, incorporating the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal and external professionals, including family members and individuals we support, to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Act as a positive professional role model, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Contribute to the development of specialist physiotherapy provision within the service, identifying areas for growth and improvement.
Requirements
  • Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification.
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Practice Placement qualification or willingness to undertake this qualification within the first year.
  • Experience working with individuals with neurological deficits, including acquired brain injury or related fields such as learning disabilities, MSK, or mental health.
  • Knowledge of clinical governance principles and ability to reflect on own performance.
