Exciting Opportunity for a Principal Level Geo-Environmental Engineer

Our client, a leading geo-environmental, geotechnical and site investigation company, is seeking a highly skilled Principal Level Geo-Environmental Engineer to join their team in either Milton Keynes or Swindon. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to take on a leadership role and contribute to the company's growth and success.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and mentoring a small team of engineers, providing technical leadership, and carrying out site contamination assessments and site investigations. They will also be responsible for scheduling contamination, waste classification, and geotechnical laboratory testing, as well as designing remediation works and validation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage and mentor a small team of engineers
  2. Technical lead in team
  3. Carry out site contamination assessments from Stage 1 Tier 1 to Stage 3
  4. Carry out site investigation for geotechnical appraisal and combined investigations using all common techniques
  5. Schedule contamination, waste classification, and geotechnical laboratory testing
  6. Design remediation works and validation
  7. Interpretative geo-environmental report writing
  8. Project management and client liaison, including project cost control
  9. Carry out infiltration testing
  10. Good HSEQ understanding
  11. Full clean driving license
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a degree qualification in a relevant field, with a related Masters Degree being advantageous. They will also have a good level of experience specialising in Ground Investigation, especially Geo-Environmental aspects. A thorough technical understanding of contaminated land legislation and consultancy is required.

The candidate must have excellent communication skills, a solution-focused approach, and a traceable HSEQ and technical record. They will also be an effective project manager and highly competent manager and mentor to junior staff.
