We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical OT Lead to join our Baywide Occupational Therapy Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading our occupational therapy service, ensuring high standards and quality of care are delivered to service users and carers.
Main Duties- Value and respect every individual, actively supporting their right to have their voice heard in decisions about their care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and healthcare professionals, using verbal and non-verbal communication tools to discuss complex information.
- Assess patients' understanding of treatment proposals, gain valid informed consent, and jointly agreed goals.
- Provide high-quality written reports and documentation, maintaining accurate and comprehensive records.
- Develop and maintain professional working relationships with care homes, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to the strategic development of our Family and Place-Based Care Group, working in partnership with other professional leads.
- Diploma/degree in Occupational Therapy, HCPC registered, and evidence of postgraduate experience in a range of specialties.
- Knowledge of a broad range of conditions relevant to intermediate care and frailty, good understanding of aims and priorities of intermediate care and community therapy services.
- Ability to deliver high-quality services, with good understanding of performance monitoring systems, quality measures, and professional governance arrangements.
- Proven ability of complex case management and decision-making, experience of managing staff, student supervision, and assessment.
- Knowledge and understanding of legislation and guidelines surrounding health and social care, experience of working as part of multidisciplinary and multi-agency teams.
