Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Bed/Patient Flow Manager. This position is critical to the effective management of bed capacity within our Trust, and the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of patients through our healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and collate real-time information on current and predicted bed availability
  • Facilitate the effective use of acute hospital and community-wide bed capacity
  • Work closely with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient flow
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize bed utilization and reduce delays
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address bottlenecks in the patient flow process

Requirements:

  • Sound clinical background with effective decision-making skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and build strong relationships with healthcare professionals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to present original certificates for qualifications at interview stage
  • Valid driver's license and access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes

Working Arrangements:

This role requires the ability to travel independently across the locality and work flexibly to meet the needs of the Trust. Adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.
