Academic Opportunity in Statistics

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong background in Statistics and Data Science to join our Department of Statistics within the School of Mathematics and/or the Leeds Institute for Data Analytics (LIDA). The successful candidate will contribute to the University's research-led teaching and management of student education, playing a key role in developing outstanding graduates and scholars.

With a PhD, or equivalent experience, in Statistics or Computing, or a closely related discipline such as Mathematics, you will have a demonstrable ability to teach Statistics or Data Science. You will have an enthusiastic and innovative approach to all aspects of student education, good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to use technology effectively and innovatively in the preparation and delivery of blended learning material.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Statistics or Data Science at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
• Contribute to the development of outstanding graduates and scholars
• Play an active role in the development of our curriculum, aligning with the Institutional-led Curriculum Redefined principles and practices
• Support the development and delivery of online teaching
