Job Description

AtkinsRéalis is a leading design, engineering, and project management consultancy with a global presence. We offer a unique opportunity for a Fire Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative fire engineering solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering fire engineering design solutions to clients across various sectors, including cities, commercial, energy, residential, and transportation. This role offers a chance to work on a wide range of projects, from residential buildings to rail transportation and new energy facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on fire engineering projects from inception to delivery, ensuring compliance with fire safety standards.
  • Support the delivery of project work within time and cost budgets.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulations and legislation related to fire engineering.
  • Develop fire strategies and assess fire-related risks in projects.
  • Carry out site visits and review fire safety-related installations.
  • Undertake tenders for new work and prepare reports as required.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree in fire engineering or a related field.
  • Experience working with fire standards, including BS9999, NFPA 130, and EN45545.
  • Fire modeling experience is beneficial.
  • Able to work towards chartered fire engineer status.
  • Flexible approach to the working environment and willingness to travel.
  • Good commercial awareness and customer focus.
