Job Title: Administration and Governance Executive

Shift F5 Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Administration and Governance Executive to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the organization's mission and strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the Board of Trustees to develop and implement the organization's strategic plan, ensuring alignment with our mission and values.
  • Operational Oversight: Provide leadership and management of the organization, ensuring effective governance and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Governance Support: Ensure the Board receives timely and accurate information to inform its decision-making.
Principal Tasks:
  1. Working with the Board:
    • Reporting: Regularly present and report on the organization's progress and key matters to the Board.
    • Policy Development: Develop and propose policies for Board discussion and decision-making.
    • Meeting Planning: Ensure an annual calendar of Board meetings is established.
  2. Leading and Managing the Organization:
    • Strategic Planning: Develop and oversee a long-term strategy to guide the organization toward its objectives.
    • Cultural Leadership: Foster a culture that aligns with our values and philosophy.
    • Legal and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the organization meets its legal obligations, including responsibilities related to CQC registered services.
    • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and support to senior management, appraising the performance of direct reports.
    • Resource Management: Ensure the organization has adequate resources to operate effectively.
    • Financial Oversight: Work with the Director of Business and Finance to manage finances, advising the Board on financial viability.
    • Human Resources: Foster an HR culture that maximizes staff potential.
    • Health and Safety: Act as the responsible person for health and safety within the organization.
    • Out-of-Hours Support: Provide advice and support outside of regular hours as needed.
  3. Promotion of the Organization:
    • Networking: Maintain effective relationships with funders, supporters, and stakeholders.
    • Expansion and Promotion: Seek opportunities to expand and enhance the organization's role.
    • Public Representation: Ensure the organization is professionally represented to stakeholders.

This role demands a strategic leader with strong governance, management, and external relations skills, committed to ensuring the organization's long-term success and alignment with its mission and values.
