Job Description:

Early Years Educator Apprenticeship - Cygnet Nursery Oxford

The Aspire Training Team is seeking a punctual, reliable, and enthusiastic individual to join Cygnet Nursery as a Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprentice.

Cygnet Nursery is an Ofsted-registered day nursery providing a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children up to five years old.

The nursery aims to provide a friendly, flexible childcare service for parents while promoting children's learning and growth in confidence and self-esteem.

The nursery is located in its own grounds, offering extensive indoor and outdoor play areas, as well as four separate rooms catering to different age groups in two buildings.

Your Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Key worker after settling, assisting, and caring for the children
  • Guiding children through the curriculum, encouraging social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development
  • Observations and planning learning journeys
  • All aspects of personal care
  • Preparing snacks and assisting at meal times
  • First aid training

Hours:

  • Cygnet Nursery is open between 07:30 and 18:00, Monday to Friday
  • Working hours will be between 40 hours per week

Requirements:

  • Level 2 Early Years Childcare Qualification desired
  • Good level of experience in a nursery environment
  • GCSEs A*-C/4+ in English Language and Maths, or equivalent
  • Clear DBS
