Essex County Council is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities Service. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in empowering children and young adults with special educational needs and/or disabilities, and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality social work services to children and young adults with disabilities, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are protected.
- Work collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals to develop and implement effective support plans.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of innovative services that promote the well-being and inclusion of children and young adults with disabilities.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to share knowledge, expertise, and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and best practice.
- Diploma or degree in Social Work, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent qualification.
- Registration with Social Work England as a registered Social Worker.
- Demonstrable capability to practice in line with current professional standards, such as the Professional Capability Framework (PCF) and Knowledge & Skills Statement (KSS).
- Proficiency in case recording and strong working knowledge of information technology and related systems.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends when necessary.
