Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi Skilled Driver to join our team at Colas Rail UK. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely driving and conducting various plant tractions within your allocated region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive and route conduct machines safely and effectively
  • Work safely and effectively to Colas Rail Services Operations procedures
  • Assist in maintaining quality systems and stabling database
  • Required to undertake route learning and refreshing as needed
  • Will be required to drive all other OTMs
  • Required to keep all routes current via the Colas Rail route app

SHEQ Responsibilities
  • Work to applicable Safety Plans and Method Statements
  • Comply with Section 7 of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974
  • Close Calls and safety conversations submitted as per procedure

Competencies Required
  • Proven extended experience in driving trains
  • Significant Route Knowledge
  • European Driving Licence
  • Road Driving Licence
  • PTS
  • Fire Training
  • Emergency First Aid
  • Driver Mentor
  • To be able to drive all types On-Track Machines within your allocated region
  • Trainer / Assessor Qualification (not essential)
