Job Title: Personal Tax Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Personal Tax Manager to join our team at TPF Recruitment. As a leading recruitment agency, we specialize in connecting top talent with exceptional companies in the South-East.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, overseeing the work of junior team members, and reporting to the Tax Directors & Partners. This is a pivotal role that requires strong leadership, organizational, and client-focused abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage client portfolios, ensuring their needs are met and maximizing revenue.
  • Oversee the production and review of personal tax returns for both own portfolio and junior members.
  • Actively participate in tax advisory work relevant to skill level.
  • Plan, monitor, and review ad hoc tasks to ensure timely completion within set budgets.
  • Conduct consultancy work and attend client meetings as required.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects and research as necessary.
  • Allocate and review tasks, ensuring appropriate training for trainees.
  • Maintain up-to-date tax technical knowledge through continuous professional development.
Requirements:
  • CTA/ACA/ACCA/ATT qualified, with consideration for QBE candidates.
  • Minimum 2 years PQE.
  • Previous experience managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, within a firm of Chartered Accountants.
  • Proficient in IT (Excel, Word, tax software) and possess strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrated supervisory, organizational, and client-focused abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to the firm's values.

  • Salary circa £55,000 - £65,000 depending on experience and qualification status.
