About the Role

The Bosworth Medical Centre is seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our nursing and administrative teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake new patient health checks and support the Practice Nurse with health promotion programmes
  • Carry out baseline observations, wound care, and other clinical tasks as required
  • Support the Practice Nurse with the management of chronic disease clinics and provide opportunistic health promotion where appropriate
  • Act as a chaperone and undertake venepuncture, administer flu vaccinations, and carry out ECGs as requested
  • Ensure specimens are recorded and ready for onward transportation and maintain clinical rooms and areas

Person Specification

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and a clear, polite telephone manner
  • Effective time management and ability to work as a team and autonomously
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to follow clinical policy and procedure
