About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Residential Care Officer to join our team at Doncaster Council. As a Residential Care Officer, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for children with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality care and support to children with disabilities in a residential setting
  • Work collaboratively with the Residential Manager, Deputy Manager, and Senior Care Officers to ensure the best possible outcomes for children
  • Develop and implement individual care plans that meet the unique needs of each child
  • Provide emotional, social, and physical support to children, promoting their independence and well-being
  • Participate in sleep-in duties and work flexible shift patterns to meet the needs of the service
Requirements
  • QCF Level 3 qualification in Children's Care and Development or equivalent
  • Experience working with children with disabilities in a residential setting
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality care and support that promotes the well-being and independence of children
