**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Test Engineer to join our team at BSI. As a Mechanical Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of products and services.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Conduct client visits to assess product quality and safety
  • Liaise with clients to provide technical support and advice on product testing
  • Develop and maintain technical skills to enhance product testing capabilities
  • Test products in line with specific standards and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records and results
  • Produce high-quality test reports
  • Liaise with calibration department to ensure accurate equipment maintenance
  • Report and escalate any issues that impact product quality or safety

**Requirements**

  • Minimum of HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent industry experience
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Positive customer-focused approach and ability to work as part of a team
  • Good computer literacy and working knowledge of MS Office
  • Strong writing skills and ability to produce clear and concise reports
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritize tasks
  • Knowledge of Lean culture and tools is advantageous
