Mechanical Test Engineer

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time, Mon – Fri, 36hrs p/w
Salary: Up to £30,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits.
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Test Engineer to join our team at BSI Companies. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting mechanical focused testing across a wide range of products within Construction Products, Personal Protection Products, Respiratory Equipment or Fire Suppression Systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct client visits (onsite and offsite - UK, Europe, Worldwide) to ensure premier customer service & on-time delivery on all work and projects.
- Liaise with clients to advise on the status of work and facilitate effective communication.
- Develop technical skills to enhance own skills & ability to carry out testing work across a wide variety of laboratories, equipment and standards or client bespoke requirements.
- Produce project status and quality test reports to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Liaise with calibration department on the maintenance and use of the correct equipment to carry out testing.
- Report and escalate issues in testing which impact performance or quality of results.
- A minimum of HNC/HND or equivalent in a Mechanical Engineering discipline, or equivalent.
- Good level of computer literacy and working knowledge of MS Office or equivalent.
- Strong writing skills - to write clear and concise reports.
