Paediatric Diabetes Specialist Dietitian

We are seeking a highly skilled Dietitian to join our team at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing dietetic input to the Hepatobiliary (HPB) inpatient and Liver Unit at King’s College Hospital.
The successful candidate will work alongside other dietitians to deliver an inpatient and outpatient service to the internationally recognised Hepatology and Liver Transplant Unit. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy acute setting and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Main Duties of the JobThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing dietetic input to the Hepatobiliary (HPB) inpatient and Liver Unit at King’s College Hospital. This will include:
- Providing inpatient post-surgical nutritional support for pancreatic and liver surgeries
- Managing complex patient cases and working as part of the multidisciplinary team
- Conducting liver transplant assessments and post-liver transplant reviews
- Working in hepatology and HPB outpatient clinics

Person SpecificationWe are looking for a dietitian with:
- Considerable post-graduate dietetic experience in the hospital setting
- Experience with enteral nutrition support and provision
- Experience of undertaking clinical audit
- Experience of multidisciplinary team working
- Good oral and written communication skills with people from a wide variety of backgrounds
- Ability to prioritise own workload
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Able to reflect and appraise own performance
- Experience of Hepatology and/or HPB patients
- Experience of pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy (PERT)
- Experience of interpreting anthropometric measurements
The successful candidate must have appropriate UK professional registration and be able to meet the trust’s requirements for disclosure and barring service checks.
