Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pet Care Specialist to join our team at Pets at Home Group Plc. As a key member of our grooming salon, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional pet care services and ensuring the highest standards of customer satisfaction.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have previous experience working with dogs in a professional environment, preferably in a customer-facing role. You will be required to work a flexible shift pattern across 6 days a week, including weekends, and will receive a minimum contract of 39 hours. However, we often require staff to work additional hours to cover busy periods, absences, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include:

  • Providing high-quality pet grooming services that exceed customer expectations;
  • Handling dogs safely and efficiently, utilizing effective communication skills to ensure a positive experience for both pets and customers;
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within the salon;
  • Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions, treatments, and feedback.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and building strong relationships with clients;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers;
  • A basic understanding of dog behavior and handling techniques, as well as experience working with or handling dogs in a professional environment;
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work varied shifts and respond to changing priorities.
