Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join our team and drive the integration of our energy storage systems into the Transmission System Operator (TSO) EMS systems. The successful candidate will have a strong background in automation and controls, with experience in Linux-based systems and high-level programming languages such as Python and C/C++.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the integration of our energy storage systems into the TSO EMS systems, developing logic and control schemes for remote and local operation.
  • Work with field engineers to resolve issues during commissioning and testing, ensuring seamless system operation.
  • Support the development of utility-scale energy storage solutions, including the design, implementation, and testing of controls applications.
  • Develop standardized test procedures and execute tests to reduce commissioning time and ensure system reliability.
  • Collaborate with clients and sub-contractors to ensure Controls compliance and drive project success.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies to ensure the delivery of world-class Controls services.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer or industrial engineering with a focus on automation and controls.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Controls/Software/programming with a power utility or related industry.
  • Experience with Linux-based systems, high-level programming languages, and MathWorks Simulink.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English and German language skills a plus.
