About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Care Specialist to join our Sea Logistics team at Kuehne+Nagel. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth coordination of customer shipments and the accurate, timely update of key milestones within our operational system.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Customer Shipments: Ensure that customer shipments are processed in a timely and accurate manner, and that key milestones are updated in our operational system.
  • Manage Carrier Contracts: Ensure that carrier contracts are retrieved and added to cost entries as required, and that gross profit is accurately managed.
  • Maximise Gross Profit: Ensure that gross profit is maximised on every shipment by ensuring correct profit share and sales quotation is linked on every shipment file.
  • Investigate and Resolve Issues: Investigate and resolve issues related to schedule changes, routing discrepancies, and missing shipment statuses, and notify the respective parties in case of issues.
  • Monitor and Address Discrepancies: Monitor and address discrepancies with carrier invoices, escalating as necessary.
  • Raise Invoices: Raise freight and additional charge invoices to our customers.
  • Communicate with Stakeholders: Serve as a key contact for the services within your scope, and engage in regular communication with Customer Care Locations, other OCC departments, Kuehne+Nagel offices overseas, and suppliers, building strong relationships.
Your Skills and Experience
  • Experience in Freight Forwarding or Transport Planning: Experience in either freight forwarding or transport planning, preferably with a focus on sea freight.
  • Import Operations Experience: Experience in Import Operations is advantageous.
  • Data Processing and Task-Based Work: Experience in processing data and task-based work is advantageous.
  • Process Execution and MS Office Skills: Ability to understand and execute new processes, and excellent knowledge of MS Office features, especially Excel.
  • Confidentiality and Compliance: Understand and respect the company confidentiality and compliance regulations (Code of Conduct).
  • Customer Quality Standards: Strong affinity with required customer quality standards.
  • Incoterms and Shipment Types: Understanding of Incoterms, shipment types, and methods.
  • Time Management and Prioritisation: Very good time management skills with the ability to set priorities, fulfill critical tasks in time, and keep to deadlines.
