Category Manager

Bramwith Consulting is seeking an experienced Category Manager to join our team and lead the procurement of food and beverage products. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sourcing strategies to deliver cost savings, mitigate supply chain risk, and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and nurture relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and key partners to collaborate and deliver cost savings on food and beverage related spend.
- Create category and sourcing strategies to ensure the company's operations remain market leading.
- Develop and implement strategies prior to upcoming projects, contract expiry, and market changes that will commercially affect the firm.
- Mentor and performance monitor buyers to ensure sourcing strategies and tender outcomes are maximizing commercial success and value.
- Assess and mitigate commodity risk, monitor market trends, and devise strategies with the supply base to reduce issues moving forward.
- Adhere to sustainable sourcing practices and contract compliance.
Requirements:
- Strong commercial acumen and end-to-end procurement experience within food and beverage.
- Demonstrable experience focused on strategic sourcing or category management.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, strong communication and the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and suppliers.
- Ability to achieve cost savings against volatile and changing market conditions.
- Procurement experience on a strategic level.
