Are you a skilled Domestic Gas Service and Maintenance Engineer looking to work for a company that prioritizes staff well-being and professional growth? We're a Bristol-based Heating Company that provides Service, Maintenance, and New Installations of Heating systems to both domestic and commercial properties across the south west region, as well as working with renewable energy.

As part of our very successful team, we're looking to recruit a domestic gas service/repair engineer who's ambitious and wants to further progress within their career. While experience in renewables isn't essential, applicants ideally will be willing to upskill in this field (all training will be provided). You must have the ability to act independently, prioritize work, and make intelligent but pragmatic decisions while having the judgment to know when to discuss and gain support from your line manager.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Complete Landlord Gas Safety inspections and gas appliance servicing as per manufacturers' instructions at private and social housing properties
  • Carry out reactive maintenance on all types of boilers and heating systems
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures, relevant industry standards (including basic risk assessments), while completing all work in line with manufacturers' recommendations and company procedures
  • A flexible approach to working hours, working overtime when required, and being part of an out-of-hours call-out rota (compulsory) to meet customer expectations
  • Responsible for managing company vehicle, including its cleanliness (inside and out) and van stock levels

Requirements:

  • Qualified in domestic heating systems, fault finding, and central heating controls with a proven track record and able to demonstrate a high level of customer service while treating customers' properties with respect

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Accredited Certification Scheme including, CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1
  • UHWSS (G3 Unvented Hot Water systems)
  • Essential system controls, electrics, and basic heating wiring knowledge
  • General IT skills, the candidate will be required to complete documentation related to work activities, which may include the use of an iPad
  • Clean driving license

Desirable Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • OFTEC (OFT10-101, OFT10-105E, and OFT10-600a)
  • 17/18th Edition or Part P electrical qualifications and will be a distinct advantage
