Job Title: CAD Designer

We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join our team at SSR Personnel, a leading enterprise-level physical security systems integrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining CAD drawings, as well as other related documents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain CAD drawings and documents
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure project deliverables are met
  • Manage and support throughout the design process for access control, CCTV, and intruder systems
  • Check and validate designs at designated checkpoints
  • Utilize multiple design management systems, including BIM360
  • Manage your diary in line with project deliverables, business needs, and client requirements
  • Read, produce, and check specifications, Bill of Materials (BOM), and other key documents
  • Stay up-to-date with security technologies and research new and changing technologies applicable to the security industry
  • Visit sites to increase knowledge of real-life environments and installs vs designs on paper
  • Capture, document, and maintain a lesson identified register, engaging the wider business to support focused delivery
  • Coordinate and deliver efficiently and effectively with the wider design team to meet stated deadlines
  • Ensure completed designs meet the standards set out by the business and/or client
  • Attend all design sync calls externally and internally
  • Maintain current or future certifications held
  • Work closely with other business departments to maintain common standards and common deliverables
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Experience with CCTV, Intruder, and Access control systems
  • Autodesk Certified User level of experience or equivalent
  • CAD working with external references
  • Working with dynamic blocks
  • Table/data import experience
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Bluebeam Revu
  • Lenel Architecture
  • Network topology
