The Senior Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analysing project programmes to ensure timely project delivery. This role involves close collaboration with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to integrate programmes, identify risks, and provide strategic planning support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed project programmes, including all phases from initiation to completion.
  • Maintain and update project programme based on actual progress and changes in project scope.
  • Identify the critical path and key project milestones.
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Identify potential programming risks and develop contingency plans.
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
  • Generate regular programme performance reports, programme variance, and progress updates.
  • Apply advanced programming software (Elecosoft Power Project) to develop and manage project programmes.
  • Provide training and guidance to construction managers on programming best practices.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement in project programming and time management.
  • Ensure that all programmes comply with industry standards, company policies, and contractual requirements.

Requirements:

  • Education: degree in Construction Management, Project Management Qualifications, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in project programming, with at least 3-5 years in a senior scheduling role.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in programme software predominantly Elecosoft Power Project, and other relevant tools.
