Purchase Ledger Assistant Job Description

DK Recruitment is exclusively recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Assistant vacancy in Plymouth. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established business in an exciting period of growth.

The Role:

To provide efficient and effective service, you will work closely with colleagues and suppliers, maintaining a positive attitude and ensuring a high-quality experience across the organisation. Your responsibilities include processing supplier invoices, credit notes, and payments accurately and in a timely manner. You will also reconcile supplier statements to ensure accounts are up-to-date and resolve discrepancies. Additionally, you will manage purchase ledger queries from suppliers and internal teams professionally, and assist in month-end processes, including preparing reports and ledger reconciliations. To ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and financial regulations, you must have attention to detail and organisational skills.

What We're Looking For:

We are seeking an experienced individual with knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and strong communication skills. You must be able to work both in a team and independently, and maintain accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment, adhering to procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email systems is essential. A flexible, adaptable approach and eagerness to improve processes are also desirable. Estimated salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum.
