English Instructor

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated English teacher to join our team on a part-time basis (0.8 FTE) from January 2025.
About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and innovative English lessons to KS3/4 students, fostering a love of literature and language.
- Create high-quality lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs, ensuring student progress and achievement.
- Assess and provide constructive feedback to support student development, using expertise to drive improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to establish a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting excellence in education.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development activities, enhancing teaching skills and staying up-to-date with best practices.
About You:
- Hold a degree in English or a related field, with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Possess an enhanced DBS on the update service.
- Have proven experience teaching English at KS3/4, demonstrating expertise and passion for the subject.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and classroom management skills, creating a productive and supportive learning atmosphere.
- Show commitment to nurturing a love of English and literature in students, inspiring a lifelong appreciation for the subject.
- Show adaptability, enthusiasm, and eagerness to contribute to the wider school community, working collaboratively with colleagues.
