Job Title: Health Care Support Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Health Care Support Worker to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our nursing team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting registered nurses in implementing holistic, person-centered care and undertaking administrative tasks as directed. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive the highest level of care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the maintenance of a safe, healthy, and hygienic environment
  • Support the delivery of patient care within the boundaries of your assessed competencies
  • Work collaboratively with the nursing team to achieve positive patient outcomes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of GCSEs in maths and English language or equivalent qualifications
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • An ability to work effectively in a team
  • Good time management and prioritization skills

You will also need to be able to work a 24-hour rotation, including weekends and public holidays, and engage with manual handling using manual handling aids. A Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required for this position.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (depending on experience).
