**Job Summary**

We are recruiting an Equipment Maintenance Technician (Calibration) to join our client in Cranfield. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining and calibrating R&D test equipment used for prototype motor vehicle testing and development.

The successful candidate will have a BTEC qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and experience using Microsoft software packages. A salary of £45 per hour is offered for this long-term contract role.

Key Responsibilities:**

  • Maintain and calibrate R&D test equipment for prototype motor vehicle testing and development
  • Work towards UKAS accreditation / ISO17025 quality systems
  • Prepare quality-assured calibration and test certificates
  • Ensure efficient daily laboratory operations within agreed turnaround times, adhering to technical standards and internal quality standards

Requirements:**

  • BTEC qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a similar discipline
  • PC literate, with experience using Microsoft software packages
  • Proficient in MS Excel for data management and producing graphs
