About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Operative to join our team at Bannatyne Group. As a Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our health club facilities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, swimming pool, and fitness equipment.
  • Monitor preventative maintenance contractors to ensure the longevity and reliability of equipment.
  • Address and resolve maintenance issues promptly, such as fixing leaks, electrical faults, and equipment malfunctions.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations and club policies.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and risk assessments, reporting any hazards or non-compliance issues to the Maintenance Manager/General Manager.
  • Ensure all areas of the club, including gym floors, changing rooms, and common areas, are clear, orderly, and in good repair.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a maintenance role.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and good attention to detail.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks that involve lifting, bending, and being on your feet for extended periods.
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driving license and own vehicle.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Diploma or vocational qualification in a related field.
  • Knowledge and experience in plumbing and joinery.
  • 17th Edition Electrical qualification or equivalent qualification.
