The Recruitment Co is delighted to be recruiting for a Management Accountant to join our client's finance team in Carnoustie. This is a key position within the finance team, responsible for making strategic decisions and driving business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze accruals and prepayments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and present Management Information (MI) to the Finance Controller to inform business decisions.
  • Attend monthly forecast meetings to discuss financial performance and future projections.
  • Prepare and submit month-end reports to stakeholders, highlighting key financial metrics and trends.
  • Create and manage group and departmental budgets, working closely with other departments to ensure alignment and accuracy.
  • Liaise regularly with other departments to discuss budget and forecast information, ensuring a collaborative approach to financial planning.
  • Develop and maintain internal group reporting, adhering to the financial timetable and ensuring timely delivery of reports.
  • Support the Finance Controller in the timely completion of the annual statutory audit, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Controller and other budget holders to analyze and improve financial processes, increasing efficiency and reducing time spent on internal processes.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Accountant (desirable)
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to work in a complex and multi-disciplined environment.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Experience in Management Accountant duties and activities, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality financial reporting and analysis.
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Proactive and results-driven approach, with a strong focus on delivering robust financial information.
  • Good written and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to stakeholders.
