Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Building Regulator Lead to provide expert building control services and technical leadership in complex environments. The ideal candidate will possess a current licence as a Registered Building Inspector at Class 3G or 3H level, a degree in building control or related construction discipline, and be a full member of a relevant professional institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership in building control for a portfolio of projects including major developments in complex environments.
  • Occasional provision of expert advice and technical support in areas where building regulations may not apply.
  • Support Quality Management and business initiatives instigated by the Head of Building Control.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Assess levels of compliance of relevant projects being handed to the operation on Building Regulations Health and Safety matters, and permit or refuse the handover as appropriate.
  • Operate in accordance with any RBCA and RBI licence obligations.
  • Ensure that building control activities meet prescribed performance standards and comply with internal ISO 9001 Quality Management processes and systems.
Requirements
  • A minimum salary of £55,000 per annum based on experience.
  • A current licence as a Registered Building Inspector at Class 3G or 3H level.
  • A degree in building control or related construction discipline.
  • A full member of a relevant professional institution.
