Information Governance Role - Leeds

This exciting opportunity has arisen for an Information Governance professional to join a pioneering data management team in Leeds. The team is working closely with a large pan-European group to drive a cutting-edge data model, leveraging expansive data availability and fluidity throughout the organisation.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Lead Information Manager to embed the Information Management (IM) Framework across all business activities. This will involve working with the business to develop governance documentation and ensuring the effective adoption of IM Key principles throughout the group.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Contribute to the development and maintenance of governance documents to sustain the IM Framework.
  2. Support the Lead Information Manager in embedding the IM Framework across the group.
  3. Coordinate the IM team's efforts to provide assistance and support to departments to promote and embed the IM Framework and Key Principles.
  4. Coordinate the work of Information Governance Champions to ensure effective implementation of the IM Framework.
  5. Contribute to the maintenance of Information-related risks and ensure their effective mitigation.
  6. Investigate and resolve data-related issues to ensure data quality and integrity.
  7. Improve data quality measures and controls to monitor data quality effectively.
Required Experience
  1. Proven track record in working with governance frameworks and governance documents.
  2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  3. Knowledge and understanding of relevant information management and data protection legislation.
  4. Ability to multi-task, manage conflicting deadlines, and prioritize work effectively.
  5. Proven ability to engage successfully with cross-functional stakeholders.
  6. Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality and information management security principles.
  7. Experience working within an information governance team.
  8. Strong analysis and design skills.
  9. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  10. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, commercially orientated environment.
